Overview
ThinkSmart Hub is a purpose-built conference room device which includes the [Downloads] ThinkSmart Manager Service (TSMS). The ThinkSmart Hub hardware is designed by Lenovo, and the software is supplied by Unified Communications (UC) companies.
ThinkSmart Hub configurations:
- ThinkSmart Hub - Microsoft Teams Rooms: 11H0, 11H1
- ThinkSmart Hub - Zoom Rooms: 11H2, 11H3

Finding the Serial Number (SN)
ThinkSmart Core unit serial number can be found by one of the following:
- Printed label on the ThinkSmart Hub device
- Windows IoT Administrator Account
- ThinkSmart Manager
Printed Label on the ThinkSmart Hub device
The serial number is on the printed product label on the bottom of the ThinkSmart Hub device.
Windows IoT Administrator (Admin) Account
Use the following steps:
- Open the Command Prompt by pressing the Windows Key on the keyboard.
- Press X key.
- Select Command Prompt (Admin) on the menu.
- On the keyboard, enter the following command: wmic bios get serialnumber
This serial number appears on the screen.
ThinkSmart Manager
If the the device has been added to the ThinkSmart Manager (portal.thinksmart.lenovo.com), follow these steps:
- From Home, select Device Manager, then select Devices.
- Select the device, and the following appears.

ThinkSmart Hub is supported based on the following:
- Lenovo: Supports hardware repair, device recovery, Frequently Asked Question's (FAQ's), and How-To use.
- Microsoft: Supports Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) software, and other Microsoft components obtained through their licensing agreements.
- Zoom: Supports Zoom, and other Zoom components obtained through their licensing agreements.

Microsoft Support Resources
When using the embedded Microsoft Windows IOT Enterprise operating system, the ThinkSmart Hub solution requires a proper Microsoft Teams Room infrastructure deployment.
An account name and password is required for each ThinkSmart Hub device, Office 365 admin console, or Microsoft SFB and Exchange server.

Lenovo Diagnostics
Lenovo Diagnostics UEFI Bootable is embedded within the ThinkSmart Hub. To create a flash disk, click: Create Bootable USB with UEFI Diagnostics.
Lenovo Diagnostics requires a USB keyboard, mouse and external display.
Method One: Press F12 during initial power-on when Lenovo logo screen appears
Press the F12 during the start sequence. The Setup Drive Menu appears.
Move to App Menu, then select Lenovo Diagnostics.
Method Two: To access diagnostics immediately, press F10 during initial power-on when Lenovo logo screen appears

Recovery and Reimage
To recovery and reimage the ThinkSmart Core, use the Lenovo Digital Download Recovery Service (DDRS).
The reimage includes:
