Symptom

The USB 3.0 Dock name remains in the Devices and Printers menu after switching to another USB 3.0 Dock.

  1. Plug in the ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock (for example, ThinkPad USB 3.0 Pro Dock) to the system.
  2. Open Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, and then the Devices and Printers menu.
  3. Confirm that the Dock name and the icon display correctly.
  4. Unplug the ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock and then plug in a different ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock (for example, ThinkPad USB 3.0 Ultra Dock).
  5. The first ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock name still displays in the Devices and Printers menu.

Solution
