ThinkSmart Bar

When paired with a compute, such as ThinkSmart Hub, ThinkSmart Edition Tiny M920q or ThinkSmart Core, or when used alone as a standard plug-and-play device, the new ThinkSmart Bar transforms collaboration rooms into more productive spaces where ideas can be fully expressed and explored.

Two configurations:

  • ThinkSmart Bar designed for small offices
  • ThinkSmart Bar XL designed for extra large conference rooms

Frequenty Asked Question's (FAQ's)

  • Does the ThinkSmart bar need any updated software?
    • No, the ThinkSmart Bar automatically updates with Windows Update when the system has internet access.
  • Can the ThinkSmart Bar be used with Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms?
    • Yes. The camera supports Teams, Zoom, and WebEx.
  • Can the ThinkSmart Bar be used as a mic without the satellite mic?
    • Yes. The ThinkSmart Bar has integrated built-in microphone arrays.
  • Can the ThinkSmart Bar be connected via Bluetooth?
    • Yes. Lenovo recommends using the USB connections. Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms only support USB connection.
  • Can the ThinkSmart Bar be connected to any PC system, not only to the ThinkSmart Hub?
    • Yes, the ThinkSmart Hub is supported on any Windows 10 system.
  • Is the ThinkSmart Bar supported on a Mac computer?
    • The ThinkSmart Bar does not support Mac OS.
  • Does the ThinkSmart Bar support any USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 cable?
    • ThinkSmart Bar only supports the cables which are included or the optional cables.
  • Can the ThinkSmart Bar be mounted to a TV?
    • Yes The ThinkSmart Bar includes mounts for a TV.

Troubleshooting

  • The ThinkSmart Bar does not turn ON?
    • Perform the following:
    1. Press and hold the power button until it turns ON. Red light on ThinkSmart logo should indicate that it is ON.
    2. Check the power cable and look for visible cut or damages.
    3. Reconnect power cable and confirm that it is connected to power outlet.
    4. If possible, try other supported power cables.
  • The ThinkSmart Bar is not detected by the source device?
    • Perform the following:
    1. Confirm that the device is turned ON. Press and hold the power button until it turns ON. Red light on ThinkSmart logo should indicate that it is ON.
    2. Reconnect power cable and USB cable.
    3. If possible, try other supported power cables.
  • The ThinkSmart Bar does not have sound?
    • Perform the following:
    1. Check and adjust your volume settings. Try using the volume buttons on ThinkSmart Bar and your source device (PC or ThinkSmart Hub).
    2. Check and confirm that ThinkSmart Bar is selected as the Speaker Device on your source device.
    3. Check and reconnect your USB cable connection. Try connecting to other USB ports on your source device.
    4. If possible, try other supported power cables.
  • The ThinkSmart Bar sound is too low or too high?
    • Perform the following:
    1. Check and adjust your volume settings. Try using the volume buttons on ThinkSmart Bar and your source device (PC or ThinkSmart Hub).
    2. Try reconnecting your USB connections.
    3. Run Windows Update to update the ThinkSmart Bar firmware.
  • The ThinkSmart Volume buttons are not working?
    • Perform the following:
      1. Try reconnecting your USB connections.
      2. Check and confirm that ThinkSmart Bar is selected as the Speaker Device on your source device (PC or ThinkSmart Hub).
      3. Run Windows Update to update the ThinkSmart Bar firmware.
  • The ThinkSmart Bar mute button, on the ThinkSmart Bar or satallite mic, does not work?
    • Perform the following:
      1. Try reconnecting your USB connections.
      2. Check and confirm that ThinkSmart Bar is selected as the Speaker Device on your source device (PC or ThinkSmart Hub).
      3. Run Windows Update to update the ThinkSmart Bar firmware.
  • Poor audio quality that includes noise or skipping?
    • Perform the following:
      1. Check and confirm if the issue occurs in various different platforms (VoIP, online audio/video, locally saved audio files). Sometimes, the problem is with the audio source.
      2. If during VoIP or online audio/video, try checking if your internet connection is stable.
      3. If playing locally saved audio files, try others to see if it's the same.
      4. Try reconnecting your USB connections.
      5. Run Windows Update to update the ThinkSmart Bar firmware.
  • Microphone, on the ThinkSmart Bar or the satallite mic, does not work?
    • Perform the following:
      1. Check and confirm that ThinkSmart Bar is selected as your Mic Device on your source device (PC or ThinkSmart Hub).
      2. Try reconnecting your cable connections for both ThinkSmart Bar and Mic.
      3. Confirm that the cables are properly connected for both ThinkSmart Bar and Satellite Mic. If you are using satellite mic, the first Mic's IN port is connected to ThinkSmart Bar, while the OUT port is connected to the second Mic's IN port.
      4. Run Windows Update to update the ThinkSmart Bar firmware.
  • Cannot connect to ThinkSmart Bar via Bluetooth?
    • Perform the following:
      1. Confirm that the Bluetooth light of ThinkSmart Bar is ON.
      2. On your source device, turn your Bluetooth ON and select ThinkSmart Bar. Confirm that the input pairing code is correct. Default pairing code is (5678).
  • ThinkSmart Bar does not properly work with Microsoft Teams Room or Zooms Room when connected via Bluetooth?
    • Microsoft Teams Room or Zooms Room does not support Bluetooth connections. Connect using USB cables.
