Solution

No power at all

  1. Verify the power status indicator. The power status indicator is illuminated whenever the computer is ON or is pulsing when in stand-by.
  2. Check all power connections, and remove any power strips and surge protectors. Connect the AC adapter directly to the AC power outlet.
  3. Inspect the AC adapter. Check for any physical damage, and ensure the power cable is firmly attached to the adapter and the system.
  4. Verify the AC power source is working by attaching another device to the outlet.
  5. Remove any peripherals connected to the laptop.

If the ideapad still does not start, use the following steps:

  1. Disconnect the ideapad from the charger.
  2. Press and hold the power button for five seconds (power still not connected).
  3. Connect the charger and try to power ON.
  4. If these steps fail to resolve the problem, contact support. Click here to find the contact information.
