Solution
No power at all
- Verify the power status indicator. The power status indicator is illuminated whenever the computer is ON or is pulsing when in stand-by.
- Check all power connections, and remove any power strips and surge protectors. Connect the AC adapter directly to the AC power outlet.
- Inspect the AC adapter. Check for any physical damage, and ensure the power cable is firmly attached to the adapter and the system.
- Verify the AC power source is working by attaching another device to the outlet.
- Remove any peripherals connected to the laptop.
If the ideapad still does not start, use the following steps:
- Disconnect the ideapad from the charger.
- Press and hold the power button for five seconds (power still not connected).
- Connect the charger and try to power ON.
