Attempting to update Chrome OS R77 to R79 fails - 300e & 500e 2nd Gen Chromebook
Symptom
A limited number of systems shipped with Chrome OS R77 may fail the OTA update to R79. The update may report as completed, but the system remains at Chrome OS R77.
The customer is not impacted by this issue and is able to continue using the system.

Solution
An over the air (OTA) update solution has been released in Chrome OS R80 OTA that will allow the device to update correctly.
Remove the Workaround and apply the OTA solution.
Workaround
Pin the Chrome OS to R77 following the Google Chrome Enterprise documentation until the solution is released.
