Description

Installation instructions

Notes:

  • If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software.
  • To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section.
  • NVIDIA HDMI Audio driver requires UAA bus driver of Microsoft on Windows XP, Windows xP SP1, and Windows XP SP2 (Windows XP SP3 is not included). It is required to install UAA (Q888111) before Audio driver installation.

Manual Install

  1. Start Windows XP and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive. The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\VIDEO
  3. Click Start, then click Run...
  4. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in step 2, and click OK. Example: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\VIDEO\SETUP.EXE
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  6. Click Finish to reboot the system to complete the installation.

Unattended Install

Note: This is for system administrators' use only.

  1. Start Windows XP and logon with administrative privileges.

  3. Click Start, then click Run...

Determining which version is installed

NVIDIA GeForce G 105M:

  1. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  2. Click Performance and Maintenance, then click System.
  3. Click Hardware, then click Device Manager.
  4. Click the + sign in front of the Display adapters category.
  5. Double-click NVIDIA GeForce G 105M.
  6. Click the 'Driver' tab. Then you will see the Driver Version.

NVIDIA HDMI Audio:

  1. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  2. Click Performance and Maintenance, then click System.
  3. Click Hardware, then click Device Manager.
  4. Click the + sign in front of the "Sound, video and game controllers" category.
  5. Double-click 'NVIDIA HDMI Audio'.
  6. Click the 'Driver' tab. Then you will see the Driver Version.
