How to enable or disable access to specific ThinkSmart Manager (TSM) features for other users.

• ThinkSmart Hub 500

Solution

There are two levels of feature control:

• Device level
• Organization level

Only Owners can manage access to the following features:

• vPro® Remote Desktop
• vPro® Terminal
• Camera Live View
• MTR 2nd Screen

Organization level feature controls

To enable or disable the feature on the organization level, follow these steps:

1. Log in to the ThinkSmart Manager portal.
2. Ensure that you are the organization Owner, and have added (claimed) your device. For information, click: How to add a device to ThinkSmart Manager from the ThinkSmart Manager portal.
3. In the upper-right corner, click the profile icon  then select Organization Account.
   Note: Only Owners have access to Organization Account page.
4. Within Organization Account, select the Feature Controls tab and click the Edit button.
   
5. Enable or disable toggles for specific features and click Save.
   
6. You will see vPro access status in the device tray if it is disabled.
   
7. You will not be able to start Camera live preview if feature is disabled.

Device level feature controls

• To enable or disable the feature on the device level, follow these steps:

1. Open the tray of the required device.
2. Go to Configurations  > Feature Controls.
3. Enable or disable the specific feature and click Save.
   

• To enable or disable the feature on multiple devices, follow these steps:

1. Open Device list.
2. Select one or multiple devices.
3. Click Settings.
4. Go to Feature Controls.
5. Enable or disable the specific feature and click Apply.
