Solution
The Nvidia proprietary drivers that allow you to take advantage of performance benefits and new graphics functionality are not installed by default with Fedora. Use the following steps to install and enable the drivers:
- Launch the Software utility.
- From the top, right selection box, choose Software Repositories.
- Enable third-party repositories.
- Enable RPM Fusion for Fedora 32 – Nonfree – Nvidia Driver and close the Software Repositories window.
- Go to the updates tab and click the curved arrow button in the top, left. This forces the gnome software cache to refresh. It may take a few minutes. Once the refresh is done, quit the Software utility and reboot. Launch the Software utility.
- Select Add-ons on the bottom, right and choose the Hardware Drivers tab.
- Select NVIDIA Linux Graphics Driver.
- Select Install and wait for the installation to complete. This can take a few minutes.
- Reboot and confirm Nvidia drivers are running using the nvidia-settings utility.
