How to set a Supervisor BIOS Password on a ThinkSmart Windows IoT device.
Setting a Supervisor BIOS Password prevents authorized changes to the ThinkSmart device BIOS settings. The Supervisor BIOS Password protects the system information stored in BIOS. If only a Supervisor BIOS Password is set, a password prompt is displayed when trying to start BIOS. Unauthorized users cannot change most of the system configuration options in BIOS without the password.

Solution
- Connect a USB keyboard to the ThinkSmart device. Ensure that the USB keyboard is enabled within ThinkSmart Manager.
- On the Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) or Zoom Rooms main menu, click the Settings icon. Then, click Restart Device (or Reboot) to restart the device. When the logo screen is displayed, press F1 to enter the BIOS menu. If prompted, enter the Supervisor BIOS Password.
Note: If your device is not connected to an external display, you can click Reboot directly on the Zoom Rooms main menu to restart the device.
- Select Security ➙ Password.
- Click Enter next to the supervisor password item and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Press F10 to save the change and exit.
