How to determine Wi-Fi signal strength in Intel PROSet
- When using Intel PROSet (a wireless network card management software) to configure the wireless network, click the Intel PROSet icon in the notification area in the lower right corner of the screen. The wireless network connection will then automatically search for available wireless signals.
Fig.14 - If wireless signals exist, they are listed and arranged. The signal bar number represents the signal quality meter, the more bars that are illuminated, the stronger the signal strength.

How to determine Wi-Fi signal strength through Broadcom Wireless Utility
- When using Intel Broadcom Wireless Utility to configure the wireless network, double-click the Broadcom wireless icon in the notification area in the lower right corner of the screen. The wireless network connection will then automatically search for available wireless signals.
