Describes how to change the Supervisor BIOS Password on a ThinkSmart Windows IoT device from the ThinkSmart Manager portal.
A Supervisor BIOS Password prevents authorized changes to the ThinkSmart device BIOS settings. The Supervisor BIOS Password protects the system information stored in BIOS. If only a Supervisor BIOS Password is set, a password prompt is displayed when trying to start BIOS. Unauthorized users cannot change most of the system configuration options in BIOS without the password.

Warning: If the Supervisor BIOS Password has been forgotten, it cannot be made available to the service technician, there is no service procedure to reset the password. The device must be replaced.

Solution
- Log in to ThinkSmart Manager (https://portal.thinksmart.lenovo.com) with your Lenovo ID.
- Click Device Manager ➙ Devices on the left navigation panel. The Devices list page is displayed.
- Select the device you want to manage. The device Information window is displayed.
- Click Configuration ➙ Hardware on the right panel. Scroll down the page to locate the SECURITY section. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to configure the Supervisor BIOS Password.
