How to Use Lenovo Migration Assistant

Using Lenovo Migration Assistant

Lenovo Migration Assistant recognizes your PC and walks you through how to move files from your old computer to your new computer. There are two ways to transfer files: between computers or through the cloud.

Move From PC to PC

Have your old PC handy? Lenovo Migration Assistant can move files, including photos, music, movies, and more. Easily connect two PCs together wirelessly to transfer data - No need for cords or USB connections.
For PC to PC migration to work, both computers must have Lenovo Migration Assistant installed, be on the same local network, and be signed in with the same Lenovo ID.

Move Through the Cloud

Lenovo Migration Assistant can also transfer files in the cloud with Dropbox. You connect both computers to a Dropbox account, then sync files from the old computer to a Dropbox folder on the new computer. Lenovo Migration Assistant includes exclusive tips directly from Dropbox to make migrating through the cloud simple.
