Note: Under Windows 95, Internet Explorer version 4 or higher must be installed.
- Start Windows 95/98/Me/2000/XP. For Windows 2000/XP, logon with a User ID of Administrator.
- Extract this package onto the hard drive.
- Click Start, then click Run.
- Type [Program Path]\SETUP, and click OK. Program Path is the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
Notes:
- If you have ThinkPad Configuration version 1.24a or earlier installed, uninstall it first and reboot before installing this package. Then install the following packages
- ThinkPad 5xx/i-1157 :
- ThinkPad 6xx/7xx :
- Other ThinkPad machines :
Note: This is for system administrators' use only.
When you type [Program Path]\SETUP in the above installation instructions, add -S -SMS parameter to SETUP. (You need to type [Program Path]\SETUP -S -SMS in Run... )
For the different Wizards, to display the version information on the first screen of the Configuration Utility:
- Start the ThinkPad Configuration program. The main screen will be displayed.
- Click Help, then click About. The About dialog window will be displayed. The version will be displayed next to Package.
