Camera won't open - Step 1 of 5

Check Camera software

  1. Check on the permission settings for camera by following the steps; Settings -> Apps Management -> All -> Camera -> Permissions
  2. Reboot camera after clearing up cache by following the steps; Settings -> Apps Management -> Camera -> Storage -> CLEAR DATA (Note: customer data will not be erased during the cleanup)
  3. Check if any incompatible or permission-restricted third party software has been installed before/during camera fails to work. If yes, uninstall the software. Reboot the device and camera
  4. Upgrade the device to the optimal system version timely
  5. Back up all data. Reboot camera after restoring the device to factory settings
