This topic describes how to identify your current component and hardware, and then checks if that component needs a driver update. This topic also explains how to install a driver from the Lenovo support site.

How to Identify the component or hardware
- Open the Run command.
Select Search. Enter run in the search box, tap or click Run.
- In the Run command window, type devmgmt.msc and click OK.
- Click the arrow button
beside each description to expand the list as shown below:
Check if a driver update is necessary
- Right-click the device and select Properties.
- Click the Driver tab. The current driver version is listed.
- Compare the installed driver version and the driver to be downloaded. More details on the driver to be downloaded can be found on the driver page.
- Once the new driver has been downloaded from the support site, either refer to the installation guide listed in the corresponding driver text file or refer to How to install drivers installation guide.
