1. Disconnect the ac power adapter from the computer
2. Press the power button, then
3. Repeatedly press the F1 key until the BIOS appears
4. Use the right arrow key to select the Configuration menu
5. Use the down arrow key to select Power and press Enter
6. Then select "Disable Built-in Battery" and press enter
7. Confirm that "yes" is selected and press enter to power down the system
8. Insert a straightened paper clip into the release hole of the SIM Card tray
9. Pull the tray from the slot and leave it out until servicing is complete
10. To exchange a SIM card, slide the card from the trays restraining clips.
