- Set the Remote Hard disk instances and Remote KVM Hard disk instances parameters to 0 on the VMedia Instance Settings page.
- Restart and press F11 to enter LXPM Lite -> Fail.
- Restart and enter F1 -> select Launch LXPM Lite -> Fail.
(where LXPM = Lenovo XClarity Provisioning Manager, UEFI = Unified Extensible Firmware Interface)

The system has the symptom described above.
Solution
This behavior will be corrected in a future release of Baseboard Management Controller (BMC).
The target date for this release is scheduled for Third Quarter 2021.
The file is or will be available by selecting the appropriate Product Group, type of System, Product name, Product machine type, and Operating system on Lenovo Support web page, at the following URL:

Workaround
Follow these steps:
- Recover the VMedia settings as follows:
Remote CD/DVD device instances:4
Remote Hard disk instances:4
Remote KVM CD/DVD device instances:1
Remote KVM Hard disk instances:1 - Restart BMC.
Additional Information
Setting VMedia instance settings for remote hard disk to 0 will disable the hd-media service, which LXPM relies on in order to run.
Users can restore the settings and restart the BMC to recover.
For the BMC, the default settings of Vmedia are as follows:
Remote CD/DVD device instances:4
Remote Hard disk instances:4
Remote KVM CD/DVD device instances:1
Remote KVM Hard disk instances:1
For the fix, BMC will prompt a message to inform users that setting the instance to 0 will affect LXPM and provide a way to restore the settings.
