Lenovo Think systems with factory installed optical drives are provided with added function software. This document describes how to recover this software if it is un-installed or needed for use in image building.

Solution
The following factory software may be provided in the standard Windows preloaded image in 2013 and later Think systems.
- PowerDVD (a media player)
- PowerDVD Create (contains Power2go for data+music recording and PowerProducer for DVD Video creation)
- Power2go (a data and music recording program)
Several variants of each software package were used over time. This table describes how the software is provided based on drive kind and operating system.

Self-service resources exist to allow end users to re-install the software.
- Full system recovery will re-create the factory software, including any optical support software.
- Windows 7 users can find the installation packages applicable to the current system in well-known directories of the factory image.
- PowerDVD: C:\swtools\dvdplay
- PowerDVD: C:\swtools\powerdvd
- PowerDVD Create: C:\swtools\dvdrecord
- PowerDVD Create: C:\swtools\powerdvdcreate
- Windows 10 users can use the recovery facility on factory recovery media to selectively install PowerDVD or PowerDVD Create on entitled systems.
Lenovo Help Center support can provide direction on re-installing the Windows Store applications after entitling the customer's system.
Enterprise customers building images should apply through Lenovo Technical Sales Support representative or Lenovo Customer Engagement Team member for the installation packages and instructions.
Additional Information
Royalty bearing software installation packages are not directly downloadable from the Lenovo Web site due to contractual constraints and piracy concerns. Packages to update existing system software installations to the latest fix versions may be posted on the Lenovo support site from time to time.
