Use the following steps to update your device.

How to perform an OTA system update?

1. Make sure you are connected to a WLAN, then tap Settings (System settings) > System (All settings) > System > About Phone (Tablet) > System upgrade (System updates).

2. If a new software version is available, the device will prompt you to download and install it. Please do not power off or unplug your device when installing updates. A notification icon is displayed when System Update installs updates that will reboot or power off the client machine using scheduler mode.

Note:

1. Different versions of the operating system may have different menu option names.
2. Different versions of the software and features are available for different device models.

1. When the device is connected via USB, Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant will automatically recognize the device. The Update Rom page displays the devices information including model, battery power, IMEI, SN, Internal storage capacity, external storage capacity, and Current Version and New Version. If the device is a supported model and there is one matching ROM available, a similar display will appear.
2. Click the download icon to download the ROM. When the ROM download finishes, click the Update button to update the device.
3. After updating successfully, it will display “Finish”.

1. Open Lenovo Smart Assistant (no device connected):

2. Once connected via USB, you can view device information:

3. Click Update Rom.

4. When the ROM download is finished, it will transmit the ROM to connected device.

5. After ROM transmission is finished, the ROM update process will start:

6. Once ROM update is finished, the ROM has been updated successfully.


7. Note: Upgrading system may erase your personal data so please make sure you back up your personal data before performing system upgrade.
