This video provides an overview of the hardware, support, and content of the Lenovo VR Classroom 1 for the United States and Canada.
Hi, my name is Lindy, and I will be walking you through the VR classroom kit. The Lenovo VR classroom is the first all in one virtual reality classroom system that provides you with the content, support and hardware that you need to use virtual reality in your classroom. In this video, we are going go through each part of the Lenovo VR classroom. The hardware, support, content, and optional accessories. Further videos will go in depth about each part of the Lenovo VR Classroom.
Hardware:
The hardware included in your Lenovo VR classroom includes the Lenovo Tab 4 10 Plus teacher tablet and charging cable, the all in one Lenovo Mirage Solo with Daydream headset that utilizes the Google Daydream operating system.
The Ruckus wireless access point is an enterprise grade access point that comes with a charging cable. The Bretford custom made charging cart, with integrated charging for 10 or 24 headsets. Note that if you received only 3 headsets you will not have a charging cart.
Content:
The Lenovo VR Classroom comes with pre-loaded with content including Google Expeditions. Google Expeditions is a free virtual field trip app that allows your students to go over 700 virtual field trips. They can go to outer space, inside the human body, and even under the sea. The headset also come preloaded with The Wild Immersion, endorsed by Jane Goodall, wildlife videos. As well as 10 lesson plans from Scholastic designed to meet common core life science middle school curriculum. In Addition to this preloaded content, the Daydream store also has hundreds of apps such as National Geographic VR and Discovery VR. Part of providing a holistic teaching and learning experience, Lenovo’s VR classroom includes extensive support, from setup, to implementation, to warranty. Lenovo has a support website for the VR classroom that includes these videos tutorials, as well as, other support materials.
