Charging System Checklist
For optimal battery charging we recommend the following:
* Power cycle the device every 48 hours. Powering the device completely off and then on again will reboot the device, and will turn off any apps that could be inadvertently running in the background and draining the battery.
* Use the approved charger - We recommend using the charger and the USB cable that shipped with your device.
* Do not use the device while it is being charged. This will impact the actual amount of charge a phone will receive.
* Charge your device at least 4 hours for a full charge.
Other things to be aware of:
- The type of charger used may impact battery performance. Use a wall charger whenever possible. Vehicle Power Adaptors and USB charging via a computer will charge at slower rates.
- A dual port charger, used to charge multiple devices, will also charge your device at a slower charge rate.
- After a software update, you should start to see operating battery life improve after approximately 3 days. So you should use the device for 5 days minimum after upgrade to start to determine actual battery life.
- You should not recharge your mobile device in temperatures below 0°C (32°F) or above 45°C (113°F).
