Symptom
The system hangs at the Lenovo Logo screen and will not continue to boot. The system can be turned off when the power button is pressed.

Solution
To correct this problem, perform a Boot Block Recovery with BIOS M1UKT45A or higher. Please refer to the Important Product Information Guide that matches your system. Refer to the Recovering from a BIOS update failure section. The instructions have also been copied below.
- On a M920 or P330 Tiny system perform a boot block recovery with the latest BIOS on the support website (M1UKT45A or higher):

Recovering from a BIOS update failure
For computers with the Clear CMOS /Recovery jumper installed in:
- Remove all media from the drives and turn off all connected devices.
- Insert the BIOS update disc into the optical drive, and then turn off the computer.
- Disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets. Then, remove any parts that impede access to the Clear CMOS /Recovery jumper.
- Move the jumper from the standard position to the maintenance position.
- Reconnect the power cords for the computer and the monitor to electrical outlets.
- Turn on the computer and the monitor. When the computer beeps, the recovery process begins.
- After the recovery process is completed, the computer will be turned off automatically. Note: Depending on the computer model, the recovery process will take two to three minutes.
- Disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets.
- Move the jumper back to the standard position.
- Reinstall all the parts that have been removed. Then, reconnect the power cords for the computer and the monitor to electrical outlets.
- Turn on the computer and the monitor. Press F1 during POST and ensure that Setup is configured correctly. This is especially important for Optane or RAID configurations.
