How to resolve issues when Fingerprint does not work after upgrading to Windows 10 - ThinkPad

Solution
- Remove the Fingerprint Reader software.
- Search for and select Control Panel.
- From Control Panel (View by: Category), choose Programs.
- Select Programs and Features.
- Select Uninstall a program. Right-click the application name from the list (such as Lenovo Fingerprint Manager Pro) and select Uninstall.
- Perform the instructions displayed to uninstall the software.
- Search for and select Control Panel.
- Set up fingerprints in Windows Hello in Windows 10. See the following Microsoft link for more information:

If issues still occur with the Fingerprint software, try updating drivers.
- Uninstall the Synaptics device from Device Manager.
- Type and select Device Manager in Search.
- Expand the Biometric Devices section.
- Right-click the Synaptics device and select Uninstall (check the also remove all the software attached to this device option, if available).
- Install the driver package from our web site or use Lenovo System Update or Lenovo Vantage. For more information, see: Popular Topics: Drivers, Drivers Update.
Updates are also available with the automatic scan option:- Go to https://support.lenovo.com.
- Select Detect Product.
- Select Drivers & Software.
- Select Scan Now under Automatic Updates and scan for updates.
- In Device Manager, right-click the top of the tree and select Scan for hardware changes. After a while the unknown device should be recognized as the Synaptics device.
- Restart the computer.
