The first step in troubleshooting slow boot or unexpected issues starting applications should be to uninstall RapidBoot Shield. If the issue is resolved by uninstalling RapidBoot Shield, then RapidBoot Shield should not be reinstalled. Lenovo will not provide solutions to any issues caused by RapidBoot Shield.
To uninstall RapidBoot Shield follow the directions below:
RapidBoot Shield works by delaying non-critical applications and services to help your system boot faster. However, in some instances, RapidBoot Shield may delay an application and/or service that is critical to the system startup. This can cause the system to boot slower than expected or some applications may be unable to start normally.
