      Symptom :

      SOLUTION:

      In Windows 7 Starter Edition, there is a single default desktop background image which will be shown unless a High-Contrast Color Scheme is selected.

      If a computer running Windows 7 is not registered in time, the background is set to a solid black color and a message will be popped up to notify the Windows is not genuine. However, after Windows is registered, the desktop background is not automatically restored.

      To restore the background image by following these steps:

      1. Click "Start", and then key in "Display" in the search box. Click "Display".

      2. In the left pane of the "Display Control Panel", click "Change color scheme".

      3. Click "Windows Classic" à "Apply".
      4. Click "Windows 7 Basic" à "Apply" à "OK".

      The Starter Edition background image will be restored.
