Windows 7 Update for BSOD when entering or resuming from Shut Down (S5) power state.



This issue occurs most often when there is some digitizer devices attached to a computer that is running Windows 7. When the computer enters or resumes from the Soft Off (S5) power state, the computer may crash.

Additionally, you may receive a Stop error message that resembles the following: STOP 0x0000009F (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4) The DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE


  • The parameters in this Stop error message may vary, depending on the configuration of the computer.
  • Not all "0x0000009F" Stop error messages are caused by this problem.
