      IBM Rescue and Recovery™ with Rapid Restore™ - Blue Screen after pressing F11 during boot

      The computer may display a blue screen in the following scenario:

      1. Computer does not have an IBM preload installed
      2. Computer was restored using Rapid Restore Ultra 4.0 by booting to CD and restoring from CD
      3. IBM Rescue and Recovery was uninstalled
      4. User presses F11 during boot

      The computer finds a temporary partition that looks like a Service Partition and attempts to boot to it. However it will display a blue screen.

      Affected configuration
      IBM systems supported by IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore, running Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP, configured with IBM Rapid Restore Ultra

      Do not press F11 during boot and Windows will boot normally. Use F1 to update BIOS settings, F12 to choose alternate boot device.
