Symtom
For NeXtScale N1200 System Fan with Power Controller (FPC) FRU: 00Y8605 or 00KG699, the web Graphic User Interface (GUI) displays incorrect Machine Type/Model, 545611Z, in Chassis Vital Product Data (VPD).
(where FRU = Field Replaceable Unit)
Affected configurations
The system may be any of the following IBM servers:
- NeXtScale n1200 Enclosure, Type 5456, any model
This tip is not option specific.
This tip is not software specific.
Solution
Users can replace Lenovo FPC (FRU 00Y8605 / 00KG699) with IBM FPC (FRU 00KA860) to fix this issue.
Workaround
The workaround for this issue is to apply the following IPMI commands:
For M/T 5456FT1 to issue below command:

Additional Information
This is a cosmetic issue of NeXtScale n1200 system FPC (FRU 00Y8605 / 00KG699) Web GUI displaying incorrect Machine Type/Model in Chassis VPD. NextScale system n1200 and FPC operate normally and there is no functional impact.
