Unsupported Browser Detected

The Lenovo Support website supports Microsoft Internet Explorer 10+, Mozilla Firefox 29+, Chrome 34+ and any other modern web browser.

      Access Connections profile fails to connect after installing/uninstalling Client Security Solution


      When using Access Connections with a saved password and Client Security Solution is installed/uninstalled, the saved password profiles will now fail to connect (fail authentication).

      Affected software

      Any ThinkPad systems running Access Connections and Client Security Solution


      Edit the Access Connections profile and re-enter the saved password.

      Additional information

      Access Connections will use Client Security Solution (CSS), if present, to encrypt/decrypt saved passwords. If CSS is uninstalled, Access Connections can no longer decrypt the saved password and authentication will fail. Also, if CSS is installed after a password has already been saved in Access Connections without CSS present, then authentication will fail since CSS cannot decrypt the native Windows encryption.
