Support for Microsoft Windows XP SP3 and Office 2003 will end on April 8, 2014. After support ends, there will be no new security updates, non-security hotfixes, free or paid assisted support options, or online technical content updates for Windows XP or Office 2003. Unsupported versions of Windows and Office will no longer receive software updates from Windows Update, leaving them vulnerable to harmful viruses, spyware, and other malicious software which can steal or damage personal data and information. To ensure that customers will continue to receive important security updates for Windows, they should be advised to upgrade to a later version of Windows, such as Windows 8.1.
