      SugarSync stops working if network is not accessible - ThinkCentre, ThinkStation, ThinkPad, Idea Tablet, IdeaPad, IdeaCentre

      Symptom

      Local network and/or no internet access causes SugarSync, version prior to 2.0, to fail.

      Affected configurations

      The above symptom is associated to the following systems:

      • All ThinkCentre
      • All ThinkStation
      • All ThinkPad
      • All Idea Tablet
      • All IdeaPad
      • All IdeaCentre

      Operating Systems:

      • Microsoft Windows 7
      • Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7
      • Microsoft Windows 8
      Solution

      The user should download the latest version of SugarSync from SugarSync.com, version 2.x, which will resolve this issue.

      Workaround

      Below are workaround instructions for this issue:

      1. Close Lenovo Cloud Storage by SugarSync.
      2. Ensure network connectivity has Internet access.
      3. Restart Lenovo Cloud Storage by SugarSync.
