ThinkPad Stack Bluetooth Speaker

If you have the ThinkPad Stack Assistant app installed, you're ready to connect your Windows computing device to the ThinkPad Stack system.
If your device uses IOS or Android, you should go back to the playlist and select the appropriate video.
  1. First, let's make sure the ThinkPad Stack is "Stacked" correctly.
  2. There are two currently used configurations for all four devices to interact at their best.
  3. Scenario A is a good setup that would allow you to reset your router if you need to without disrupting power to other units.
  4. The Bluetooth Speaker can be used as a stand-alone Bluetooth device, or connected to other Stack device combinations.
  5. First, press the power button to turn on your Bluetooth Speaker.
  6. You can connect to the Bluetooth speaker a couple different ways.
    1. Go to the Windows Start menu, Select "Devices and printers".
    2. The first time you connect your device to the Bluetooth Speaker, you will need to click "Add a Device", then press and hold the speaker power button for three seconds to initiate pairing.
    3. For security purposes, the connection process will not stay available for very long, so you will want to connect soon after powering on the device, then click "Next".
    4. You should see your device on the list.
  7. Another way to add your speaker to your device is to go to the "Show Hidden Icons" tab on the right of your task bar.
    1. Select the Bluetooth icon.
    2. Then choose "Add a Device" to install, or "Show Bluetooth Devices" to reconnect.
    3. You can also use an eighth inch stereo audio patch cable from the headphone connection of your computing device to the audio port of your Stack Bluetooth Speaker. Using a cable gives the best sound quality, but restricts mobility. If you use a cable, make sure to turn off the Bluetooth function.
    4. The speaker has an internal battery, but longer play will happen when directly connected to the Stack Power Bank OR to your computer using a micro USB charge and sync cable.

To learn more about the other functions of the ThinkPad Stack, go back to the playlist.
