Virtualization can be used to create virtual representations of other physical machines on a single PC. This can be used to test or use software or a different operating system in a separate instance from the primary PC.
Note:
- Some computers may require a power-off and power-on restart after enabling virtualization.
- The CPU installed in your product model may not support Intel Virtual Technology if the option does not exist in the menu.
- Many Windows 10 PCs—and all PCs that come preinstalled with Windows 11—already have Virtual Machine Platform enabled. For additional information, see Enable virtualization on Windows 11 PCs.
Note: If Intel or AMT Virtualization is not listed in any BIOS configuration page, then the system does not support Intel or AMT VTT. The virtualization technology cannot be enabled if the system does not support it.
