This patch changes the hardware setting of the ThinkPad 11a/b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Express Adapter and the ThinkPad 11b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Express Adapter to correctly support the Limit Client Power Option of the Cisco Wireless Access Point.

Notes: - Make sure the Wireless LAN driver for each Wireless LAN adapter has been installed prior to applying the patch. - As the hardware setting of Wireless LAN adapter is changed while applying the patch, you need an AC adapter and a charged battery pack. - This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.
(Fix) Wireless connection fails if the Limit Client Power option of Cisco Wireless Access Point is set to 1 mW.
(New) Support for ThinkPad R61, R61e, R61i, T61, T61p, X61, X61s, X61 Tablet.

Notes:
If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to apply the patch. To determine if you should apply the patch, refer to the Version Information section.
Make sure the Wireless LAN driver for each Wireless LAN adapter has been installed, prior to applying the patch.
You need an AC adapter and a charged battery pack to apply the patch.
Attention: Do not turn off or suspend the computer until the patch has been completed. IF YOU DO THAT WHILE THE PATCH IS STILL IN PROGRESS, THE WIRELESS LAN ADAPTER MAY HAVE TO BE REPLACED.
Start Windows XP, 2000 and logon with administrative privileges.
Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive. The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\77WK01WW
Click Start, then click Run...
Specify ArEEP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in step 2, and click OK. Example: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\77WK01WW\ArEEP.EXE
Wait for the prompt, "This module was updated".
Restart the computer.
