When ordering your recovery media (Windows 10 Pro or Windows 8.1 Pro), the Windows Recovery Media for Downgraded Systems Program has the following steps:
1.Determine Eligibility and submit recovery media order (A Lenovo ID is required to order recovery media).
2.Order confirmation that order was accepted.
3.Email confirmation with order information (Allow 2-3 business days for this email).
4.Tracking information email (Allow 3-4 business days for this email, For DVD and USB media orders only).
DVD and USB media is sent using international ground service. Allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.
Am I entitled to a copy of Windows 8.1/10 Pro Recovery Media from this page?
You must have received a Lenovo system after October 24, 2014 with a flyer in the box. Your system would have been downgraded to Windows 7 with an option to upgrade to Windows 8.1/10 Pro. Or You have Think product preloaded with Windows 10.
When will I receive my Recovery Media?
Please allow 4-5 business days to receive a shipment confirmation email and tracking number. Media through this process is normally shipped with international ground service and may take 2-3 weeks to receive. If you have not received email confirmation and tracking number after 1 week, please contact Lenovo.
