|Create a bootable CD with this ISO image using CD recording software such as Record Now! This utility
will examine your system configuration and detect Optical Disc Drives such as CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD, CD-RW/DVD combo installed in your ThinkPad. It will then check the firmware revision of the drive and judge whether your system requires a firmware update or not. If required, it will prompt you to run the appropriate firmware update program for your drive.
This firmware update may support the optical drive on the following ThinkPad systems:
- A20m, A20p, A21m, A21p, A21e, A22m, A22p, A22e, i1800
- A30, A30p, A31, A31p
- G40, G41
- R40, R40e
- R50, R50p, R50e, R51, R51e, R52
- T20, T21, T22, T23
- T40, T40p, T41, T41p, T42, T42p, T43, T43p
- T60, T60p
- X20, X21, X22, X23
- X30, X31, X32
- X40, X41, X41 Tablet
- X60, X60s
- Z60m, Z60t
- Z61e, Z61m, Z61p, Z61t
Note: The Optical Disc Drive Firmware Update Utility bootable CD does not support USB Optical Disc Drives, PCMCIA/CardBus Optical Disc Drives, Optical Disc Drives in a Docking Station bay, or any drive other than the Optical Disc Drive in the ThinkPad Ultrabay. Other drives will not be updated correctly by this firmware update utility.
