ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock (4X10E52935)

 

External monitor attached to ThinkPad OneLink dock no display when adjusting the resolution
Symptom

1. Connect two monitors to ThinkPad OneLink Dock DP and DVI connector and connect ThinkPad OneLink Dock to System.
2. After content display to external monitors, open Screen resolution by right click on computer desktop.
3. Adjust external resolution from Resolution drop list.
4. Or open Graphics Properties and enter Display to adjust external monitors’ resolution from Select Display drop list.
5. Sometimes external display hangs up or black screen.

The above symptom is associated with, but not limited to, the following systems:

  • ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock
Solution

1. Right click on PC desktop and slect Graphics Properties to open Intel Graphics Control Panel.
2. Select the external monitors` from Select Display drop list.
3. Check the “Scaling” setting and set to “Maintain Display Scaling” then apply the setting.

ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock LED power on time later than system power LED
Symptom

1. Connect ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock to system.
2. Click power button on ThinkPad OneLink Dock to power on system.
3. ThinkPad OneLink Dock LED power on delay system LED power on around 8 sec.

Affected configurations

The above symptom is associated with, but not limited to, the following systems:

  • ThinkPad E431, E531
  • ThinkPad S431, S531
Solution

None.

Additional Information

Above system 5V power up timing delays ~6 sec after press power button.

Audio device (Headset) cannot be removed from system
Symptom

1. Connect ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock to system with Headset attached to dock Audio jack and check Headset detected by system properly.
2. Put system to Sleep mode.
3. Remove Headset from Dock Audio jack.
4. Resume system and check device manager, the Headset still exist, and audio cannot switch to system speaker.

The above symptom is associated with, but not limited to, the following systems, with Win8.1 OS.:

  • ThinkPad E431,E531, E440, E540
  • ThinkPad S440, S540, S540, S440
  • ThinkPad X1 carbon, S1 touch
Solution

Replug Headset to Dock.

Additional information

The issue has been fixed by the latest v10826 driver. End user can update the driver from Lenovo Support Site or auto update ThinkPad OneLink Dock Audio via Windows Update.

A “Beep” noise can be heard from speaker attached to the ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock
Symptom

 

There is a “Beep”noise heard from speaker when plug in or resume from Sleep, Hibernation and system power on.

1. Connect AC powered speaker to ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock audio Jack and power on speaker.
2. Perform system cold/warm boot, or resume from Sleep and Hibernation.
3. After system boot up process, a short beep noise comes up from attached AC powered speaker.

ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock Ethernet disconnects randomly when using on ThinkPad Yoga or ThinkPad S1 Yoga notebook
Symptom
  1. Connect ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock to ThinkPad Yoga or ThinkPad S1 Yoga notebook, and connect Ethernet cable to ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock Ethernet port.
  2. Make sure Ethernet works properly from ThinkPad OneLink Pro dock.
  3. Sometimes the Ethernet connection from ThinkPad OneLink Pro dock disconnects, and reconnects automatically.
  4. The same issue can be found when connecting a USB3.0 device to the ThinkPad OneLink Pro dock USB3.0 port.

  • ThinkPad Yoga
  • ThinkPad S1 Yoga

Solution

Update ThinkPad Yoga or ThinkPad S1 Yoga BIOS to latest version from Lenovo Support Site following details below:

  • BIOS versions: 1.14 (for BIOS ID GQxxxxxx-based computer)
  • BIOS versions: 1.05 (for BIOS ID B0xxxxxx-based computer)
