  • (Fix) (Windows NT4) BIOS password prompt at resume is not displayed to external monitor, when the external monitor is used as a display device. Video driver package version 4.03.1381.3757(1UD214WW) or higher is required to fix this issue.
  • (Fix) (Windows NT4) Screen corrupts after wakeup from hibernation mode if a display device is a LCD panel. To recover the screen, press Ctrl+Alt+F1 keys or perform suspend and resume.

  • (Fix) Infrared device may not be configured under DOS even if infrared is enabled in BIOS Setup.

Note: This BIOS version will only work with the Embedded Controller Program Version 1.12 (or higher).

  • (Fix) The 11a/b/g Wireless LAN Mini-PCI Adapter with the old device driver (version 2.4.1.7 or lower) does not work with BIOS versio 1.42 (1UET92WW).
  • (Fix) The computer may be immediately powered off at the password prompt screen after returning ffrom hibernation if the Power-on Password is set and "Require password after hibernate" option in the BIOS Setup utility is set to enabled.
  • (Fix) The correct passphrase is not accepted at the passphrase prompt screen of the UVM (User Verification Manager) function of the Client Security Software after returning from standy mode if all of the following conditions are met:
    • "Timer Wake with Battery Operation" option in the BIOS Setup Utility is set to disabled.
    • In the Windows XP Power Options properties, both "System standby" and "System hibernates" for "Running on batteries" are set. The timer setting of "System hibernates" is longer than that of "System standby".
    • The computer is running on the battery.
    • The computer goes into standby mode by following the timer setting of the "System Standby" option, and then is in idling state longer than the time which is set in the "System hibernates" option.
    • Let the computer resume normal operation from standby mode.

This BIOS version will only work with the Embedded Controller Program Version 1.12 (or higher).

  • (Fix) The clock frequency (speed) of CPU is not set to the highest speed in battery mode even if "Intel(R) SpeedStep technology" option of "Power" of "Config" in the "BIOS Setup Utility" menu is set to Enabled and its "Mode for Battery" option is set to "Maximum Performance".

  • (Fix) Bluetooth LED may not be turned on/off by pressing Fn + F5 keys under non-ACPI operating system environment.
  • (Fix) Warning Beep may sound when you eject system from UltraBase X4 even though system is attached to UltraBase X4 with standby state.
  • (Fix) LCD display may be turned off after entering the secondary hard drive password. This symptom may appear on following condition: System with UltraBase X4 should be in standby mode and then attach secondary hard drive which has hard drive password. After attaching hard drive, System resumes from standby mode and password prompt appears and then enter password. LCD display may be turned off just after entering password.

  • (Fix) Operating system may not load from a bootable USB Memory Key which is attached to the USB port in the UltraBase X4.
  • (Fix) "Internal Network Option ROM" setting in the BIOS Setup Utility is not configured by using a Remote CMOS Update Utility.
  • (Fix) After removing and replacing the backup battery, Client Security Software may not be installed or the Security Chip test performed by PC Doctor(DOS) may fail.

  • (Fix) With BIOS 1UETB7WW (Version 1.67) or later, system shutdowns on Wake On LAN with a Ultrabay Slim Second hard drive adapter, even if no password is set in the second hard drive.
  • (Fix) POST error appears on power-on, just after power off at BIOS password prompt with a USB floppy drive or USB hard drive.

Note: This BIOS version will only work with the Embedded Controller Program Version 1.12 (or higher).

  • (Fix) The CardBus Controller register setting was fixed.
  • (Fix) The problem that happens in production line was fixed.
  • (Fix) Machine may hang up when boot device is changed in BIOS setup.
  • (Fix) Intel Pentium M Processor and Centrino logos displayed on screen during POST were updated.
  • (Fix) POST hang may be caused when damaged HDD is attached.
  • (New) Added new item "ThinkPad NumLock" in the BIOS Setup Utility menu.
    Note: "ThinkPad NumLock" menu item is available only when the Embedded Controller Program (H8 controller firmware) is also updated to version 1.61 (1UHTB1WW) or later.
