Can the Graphic card be set to Discrete Graphic mode on Nvidia Optimus based Lenovo consumer laptops

STATEMENT DESCRIPTION:

Can the Graphic card be set to Discrete Graphic mode on Nvidia Optimus based Lenovo consumer laptops?

AFFECTED CONFIGURATIONS:

The above symptom may occur on the following systems:

All Idea Laptops with Nvidia Optimus technology

VALID REGIONS/COUNTRIES:

Worldwide

SOLUTION:

Usually, Lenovo laptops with Nvidia Optimus technology have relevant Graphics setting options in BIOS. Taking ThinkPad for example, go to "BIOS -> Configuration -> Display ->Graphics Device", you will find the following three options:

-Integrated Graphic

-Discrete Graphic

-Nvidia Optimus

However, Lenovo Consumer Laptops have different BIOS from that of ThinkPad. Taking Lenovo B560 for example, go to "BIOS -> Configuration -> Graphics Device", you will only find the following two options:

- IGD
