No backslash on Brazilian keyboard that comes preinstalled with Microsoft Windows XP - Lenovo 3000/ ThinkCentre/ NetVista

The user may be missing the backslash key when using the preloaded version of Microsoft Windows XP with the Brazilian keyboard setup as default.

Affected configurations

None. No hardware should be replaced for this issue.

To launch on-screen keyboard, open a command window:

  1. Click Start, then Run, and then type in CMD, then click OK .
  2. At the command prompt, type in osk.exe , then press Enter.
  3. From the pull down menu select Keyboard, then 102 keys. Then Exit.
