Creating an Account

How do I sign up for Lenovo Reach?

Lenovo Reach is currently offering a preview to select interested individuals. Sign up today by going to http://www.myworldata.com/lenovo_Reach/

What email address should I use?

The email address used by Lenovo Reach must be a valid email address. An account will be created based on the email address you choose and messages will be sent to this email address providing additional information. You can set the password associated with this account independently of your email password.

How can I check on the status of my Lenovo Reach Preview account?

We do not currently have a method to check on the status of your Preview account.  After you’ve signed up, you will receive an email welcoming you to Lenovo Reach Preview program. If you haven’t received this email, then there was a problem with your request and you should sign up again. There will be a second email when your account has been approved. This process could take several weeks. Rest assured, if you received the first email, you are on the list of Lenovo Reach Preview candidates.

What if I can’t find my country in the list?

Currently Lenovo Reach Preview is only provided in the countries included in the drop down list. Our goal is to extend the offering to other countries quickly.

Devices

What devices are supported?

All Lenovo manufactured devices.

What devices can I use?

Lenovo Reach Preview currently includes device applications that run on:

  1. PCs and tablets running Microsoft Windows 7 or 8  (Note: Microsoft Windows 8 application does not run in Metro)
  2. Android tablets & phones running version 3.1 and higher

This is a Preview version, so you may encounter problems running on your particular device. Please communicate any device specific problems to us using the method provided in the second email.

What devices won’t work?

You will not be able to install the Windows Application on Windows 8 phones. Windows 8 phones do not support legacy desktop mode. At this time, we do not have a Windows 8 metro app for Lenovo Reach.

Security

What of my data is stored in Lenovo Reach?

Lenovo Reach stores your ID and Password for applications and cloud storage that you identify. These applications may store additional data, but this data is not saved by Lenovo Reach.

How secure is my data?

You can store your ID and Password for web services in Lenovo Reach.  These services include applications contained in Application Selector, tiles you create, and cloud storage providers.  This information is encrypted using an AES 256bit key that is unique for each user and is not stored on any Lenovo Reach server.

Can I delete my ID and Password for individual tiles?

You may be prompted for your Lenovo ID password – this is a security feature to help prevent unauthorized access to your passwords.
