This package provides the Wireless LAN driver to enable the following Wireless LAN adapters.

- Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965ag
- Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965agn
- Intel PRO/Wireless 3945bg Network Connection
- Intel PRO/Wireless 3945abg Network Connection
- Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection
- Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection

Notes: If you use ThinkVantage Access Connections, the following software must be installed.

  • ThinkVantage Access Connections for Windows Vista version 4.40 or higher
  • Lenovo System Interface Driver for Windows Vista version 1.00.0702 or higher
  • ThinkPad Power Management Driver for Windows 98 SE/Me/2000/XP/ Vista version 1.45 or higher or ThinkPad Power Management Driver for SL Series version 1.44 or higher
  • ThinkPad Hotkey Features for Windows 98/98 SE/Me/NT 4.0/2000/XP version 1.24.0603 or higher or Hotkey Features for Windows Vista/XP/2000 version 2.01.0703 or higher (Note: Refer to each Hotkey package for which version to use.)

Notes: You may need to re-enter security information after updating the Wireless LAN driver.

Notes: Before installing this software, you should install Windows Vista fix module KB932063. The detail information and how to obtain the KB932063 module is located in the following Microsoft's site. To verify if the KB932063 module is installed properly:

  1. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  2. Find 'Programs and Features' and click. If this option does not exist on the window, choose Classic View to find it.
  3. On 'Tasks' pane, click on "View installed updates".
  4. Verify that KB932063 is included in the list of installed updates.

Installation instructions
  1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
  3. Click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, then click Run...
  4. Specify C:\DRIVERS\WIN\WLANINT2\Vista\Apps\iSetup.EXE and click OK.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  6. Restart the computer.

Unattended Install

This is for system administrators' use only.

  • Refer to the Manual Install section, and download and expand the files.
  • At the command line, execute iSetup.EXE with the /QI option. (For example) C:\DRIVERS\WIN\WLANINT2\Vista\Apps\iSetup.EXE /QI

  1. Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges.
  2. Click Start, click All Programs, select Accessories, then click Run...
  3. Click Browse.
  4. Select the folder where files were extracted.
  5. Double-click iSetup.EXE.
  6. At the Open line, type iSetup.EXE with the /QX option. (For example) C:\DRIVERS\WIN\WLANINT2\Apps\iSetup.EXE /QX
  7. Click OK and follow the instructions on the screen.

Manual Unattended Uninstall

  • This is for system administrators' use only.

Determining which version is installed
  1. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  2. Click System and Maintenance.
  3. Click System. From the left pane, click Device Manager.
  4. Click Modems.
  5. Double-click Intel(R) PRO Wireless.
  6. Click the Driver tab. The driver version will be displayed.
