SimpleTap Deskband may not show on the taskbar after a system restore - ThinkCentre M92z, Edge 92, ThinkStation E31


The SimpleTap Deskband icon may not show on the taskbar after a system restore.

Affected configurations

The above symptom is associated with, but not limited to, the following systems:

  • ThinkCentre M92z
  • ThinkCentre Edge 92
  • ThinkStation E31

Applies To:

  • Microsoft Windows 7

When the Deskband is not visible, the user can make it visible from the taskbar by performing the following steps:

  1. Right-click the taskbar
  2. Select Toolbars
  3. Click SimpleTap from the Toolbars menu.

The Deskband will be displayed in the taskbar in the same way that the user can hide it by clearing the option from this menu.

The user may see one of the following two Deskband icon images:
