The WinDVD installer is expected to leave behind transform files in the software uninstall directory. A bug in InshallShield prevents the installer from writing the correct files to Windows 7 uninstall directories. If the original install files are removed from the system, the program cannot be uninstalled.

Fix

Apply the update from the following URL, then uninstall WinDVD.

Workaround

Restore the original install files from C:\swtools\apps\dvdplay or insert the CD used to install the software before uninstalling.
