With this package installed, Power Management Driver supports power management on Lenovo computers.
Note:
If this package has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) this package will fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below.
This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.
If you eject the system from Port Replicator during system suspending, the suspended system might wake up. Power Management Driver provides a suspend service to make the system suspending as you wish.
Fn + F3/F12 key combination is not supported.

Installation Instructions
Note:
If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Determining which Version is Installed section.
Manual Install
This section assumes to use Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer.
[Downloading file]
Click once on the underlined file name. Once this is done, some pop-up windows will appear.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
In the window to choose Run or Save, click the Save button.
Choose the folder you would like to download the file to and click the Save button. A different window will appear and the download will begin and complete. Once the download has completed, there may or may not be a message stating that the download completed successfully.
[Extracting file]
Make sure to be logged on with an administrator account.
Locate the folder where the file was downloaded.
Locate the file that was downloaded and double-click it.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
In the "Select Destination Location" window, click Next. If you would like to select a different folder, click Browse.
In the "Ready to Install" window, click Install. All the necessary files will be extracted to the folder selected in the step 9.
[Installing files]
Make sure the checkbox next to "Install ..... now" is checked and click Finish.
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete installation and restart the computer.
Finally delete the file saved in the step 4.
Silent Install
Note: This is for system administrators' use only.
Refer to the "Manual Install" section, and download and extract the file.
In Step 11 of the "Installing files" section, uncheck the checkbox next to "Install ..... now", and then click Finish to cancel installation.
At the command line, execute setup.exe with the -S -SMS options. Example: [Path where the files were extracted]\setup -S -SMS

Select Lenovo Power Management Driver, and click Uninstall or Uninstall/Change

Make sure Control Panel Home is selected, and click Uninstall a program.
Select Lenovo Power Management Driver, and click Uninstall or Uninstall/Change.

Start Windows and logon with an administrator account.
Click Start, then click Control Panel.
Select Add or Remove Programs.
Select Lenovo Power Management driver, and click the Remove or Change/Remove.
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete uninstallation and restart the computer.

Start Windows and logon with an administrator account (Windows 2000).
Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
Select Add/Remove Programs.
Select Lenovo Power Management driver, then click the Add/Remove... button.
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete uninstallation and restart the computer.
Determining which Version is Installed
Method 1
If you have the original extracted files, find the DISKKU.VER file. You can see the version information using a text editor.

Click Start, then click Control Panel.
Make sure View by Category is selected, and click Uninstall a program.
Click Organize, select Layout, then select Details Pane. The Details Pane will be shown at the bottom of screen.
Select Lenovo Power Management Driver.
Check the product version in the Details Pane.
[Windows Vista]
Click Start, then click Control Panel.
Make sure Control Panel Home is selected, and click Uninstall a program.
Click Organize, select Layout, then select Details Pane. The Details Pane will be shown at the bottom of screen.
Select Lenovo Power Management Driver.
Check the product version in the Details Pane.
