The ThinkPad 160GB Intel X25-M Solid State Drive (43N3435) option incorporates nonvolatile flash memory technology for worry-free and speedy storage of your valuable data. Features include:

  • When compared to standard 5400 rpm or 7200 rpm hard disk drives:
    • Faster system responsiveness, including system boot-up and shutdown
    • No-moving parts rugged, noiseless operation design to withstand bumps and shocks with losing precious data increases reliability and longer product life-span
    • Lower power consumption allows users to stay mobile longer
    • Approximately 15% lighter weight
    • Eliminate "defragment" task by disabling automatic or scheduled defragmentation utilities
  • Supports SATA II features:
    • 3.0Gbps SATA devices, supporting NCQ, hot-plug with asynchronous signal recovery, software settings preservation, and device initiated power management
