Win 7: No Bluetooth icon in system tray or notification area in Windows 7 - IdeaPad / IdeaCentre

STATEMENT DESCRIPTION: 

Bluetooth icon is not displayed in system tray or notification area, how to resolve it?

 

AFFECTED CONFIGURATIONS:

The above symptom may occur on the following systems:

All Idea Laptops

All Idea Desktops

 

VALID REGIONS/COUNTRIES:

Worldwide

 

SOLUTION:

If the Bluetooth icon in the system notification area is mistakenly deleted and not displayed (see Fig.1), it might be retrieved by the following steps:

1. Click “Start” button, and then select “Devices and Printers”. See Fig.2

2. Right-click the device icon of your computer name and select “Bluetooth Device”. In this article, the computer name is “123-PC”. See Fig.3:

3. In “Bluetooth Settings” window, check “Show the Bluetooth icon in the notification area”, and then click “OK”. See Fig.4:

If the Bluetooth icon is still not found in the notification area, please reinstall Bluetooth driver for a try.
