Symptom

The middle mouse button does not work in the predesktop area. When clicking the middle mouse button or press and hold Shift and then clicking the middle mouse button in the Opera browser or in any IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore window with scroll bar, the middle click pointer or configure middle click options is displayed.

Affected configuration

IBM systems supported by IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore, configured with IBM Rapid Restore Ultra when using the Opera browser.

Solution

Opera is working as designed. There is no middle button mouse driver support in the IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore environment for any other function.
