Presentation Director support in Windows Vista - Notebooks
Symptom
Presentation Director is only supported by certain ThinkPad and 3000 Family notebooks running Microsoft Windows Vista.
Affected configuration
The following systems running Windows Vista support Presentation Director:
3000 C200, N100, V100
ThinkPad G50
ThinkPad R60, R60e
ThinkPad T60, T60p
ThinkPad X60, X60s, X60 Tablet
ThinkPad Z61e, Z61m, Z61p, Z61t
The following systems running Windows Vista do not support Presentation Director:
ThinkPad R50, R50e, R50p, R51, R51e, R52
ThinkPad T41, T41p, T42, T42p, T43, T43p
ThinkPad X31, X32, X40, X41, X41 Tablet
ThinkPad Z60t, Z60m
Solution
There is currently no solution for unsupported systems. To use Presentation Director on supported systems, you are required to install the latest version of both, the video device driver and Presentation Director available from the Lenovo Support and Downloads Web site.
Additional information
This a limitation of the device drivers for video chips installed in unsupported systems.
